The Town of Grand Bay-Westfield is preparing to adjust the pavement markings on Inglewood Drive to allow for the placement of a shoulder line along the east side of Inglewood Drive.
This will allow for walking in both directions to face the traffic and as a traffic calming measure to narrow the driving lane for motorists.
Currently, the Town is marking out the location for the new center and shoulder lines with painted dots for the paint truck to follow when painting the new line. There will be a transition period when the old faded yellow line will be painted over, leaving no line until the contractor arrives to paint the new line in the next 2-3 weeks.
Motorists are advised to drive with caution during this change over period.
The Town of Grand Bay-Westfield Works Department apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
