Running for Town Council

Have you considered running for the Council of the Town of Grand Bay Westfield?

Any person who is at least 18 years of age on or before election day and has been a resident of the Town of Grand Bay‑Westfield for a minimum of six (6) months prior to election day is eligible to run for Town Council.

The Council of the Town of Grand Bay‑Westfield is comprised of seven (7) elected members, including the Mayor. Five (5) Councillors represent Ward 1 and one (1) Councillor represents Ward 2.

Municipal elections are generally held every four (4) years. Individuals interested in seeking election to Town Council must submit nomination papers to the local Returning Office. Nomination papers and candidate information are available through Elections New Brunswick (via the link below) or directly from the local Returning Office.

The Town hosted virtual information sessions for interested Grand Bay-Westfield candidates on March 18 and 19, 2026.
