The Town of Grand Bay-Westfield, including its Age-Friendly Committee, remains committed to its strategic priority of Community Vitality.
At the Council meeting of January 9, 2023, Town Council approved:
The amended Age-Friendly Committee Terms of Reference;
The 2023-2025 Age-Friendly Committee Action Plan; and
The publication of the Age-Friendly Community certificate of recognition for the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield.
The Town received a Certificate of Recognition from the New Brunswick Age-Friendly Community, on behalf of the Department of Social Development, for the Town’s ongoing commitment to maintain its Age-Friendly Community Status.
The Town of Grand Bay-Westfield extends appreciation to the Age-Friendly Committee for its dedication and commitment to the Town’s vision of A welcoming place for all to live, grow and thrive.
Background
The Age-Friendly Committee worked through the summer and fall of 2022 to:
Develop the updated Action Plan in accordance with the standards provided by the Province of New Brunswick; and
Amend the Committee Terms of Reference to reflect the updated Action Plan.
