At a Town of Grand Bay-Westfield Council meeting on November 10, 2025, Town Council approved the following motions regarding the 2026 Town Budget:
General Operating Budget 2026
That the Council of the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield approves the following:
- The sum of $9,446,900 be the total Operating Budget of the local government of Grand
Bay-Westfield for the 2026 fiscal year. - The sum of $8,349,362 be the Warrant to the local government for the 2026 fiscal year.
- The tax rate for Ward 1 will be $1.275 for the 2026 fiscal year.
- The tax rate for Ward 2 will be $0.7932 for the 2026 fiscal year.
- The Council orders and directs the levying by the Minister of Local Government of said amount real property liable to taxation under the Assessment Act within the local government of Grand Bay–Westfield.
Sewerage Utility Budget 2026
That the Council of the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield adopt the 2026 Sewerage Utility Budget, reflecting total revenue of $755,374 and total expenditures of $755,374. With the sewerage user rate of $390 per unit, effective January 1, 2026.
Capital Budget 2026
That the Council of the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield move that the 2026 Capital Budget, in the amount of $2,187,560, be adopted as presented.

The Budget supports Council’s Strategic Priorities of: Smart Growth, Organizational Capacity, Infrastructure and Climate Adaptation, and Community Vitality.
