Background
Since 2006, funding has been set aside for Community Grants from Council equal to $1 per person per year. A new Community Grant Policy was approved in late 2022 to provide clarity on the eligibility of various projects and organizations. The total allocation for community grants was increased by Council in early 2023, to $2 per resident. These changes result in there being approximately $6,000.00 available in each of the two (2) community grant application intakes (annually in spring and fall).
