Town of Grand Bay-Westfield Animal Control Services to include Ward 2 beginning February 1, 2025

The following information will also be mailed to Grand Bay-Westfield Ward 2 residents the week of January 13, 2025

Effective February 1, 2025, the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield Animal Control Officer will begin animal control services in Ward 2 (portion of the former Local Service District of Westfield West focused on areas along and off Brittain Road and Campbell Road).

The current animal control services contract in Ward 2 between the New Brunswick SPCA and the Saint John SPCA expires on January 31, 2025.

Per Town By-law GG-008, Respecting Animal Control – every owner of a dog shall obtain a Town-issued dog license (tag). Effective February 1, 2025, Ward 2 residents will be required to purchase dog licenses from the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield, once current DocuPet dog licenses expire.

Dog licenses may be purchased, with proof of vaccination for dogs, by contacting the Grand Bay-Westfield Town Office:
