The Naming Committee of Entity 51 asked residents, organizations and businesses within the boundaries of Entity 51 to submit name ideas for the governing body (local government) of Entity 51.
The Naming Committee is pleased to report that 369 name ideas were submitted.
“Thank you, for your commitment to this democratic decision-making process. Your participation and engagement have been an important part of this naming process.” – Jon Taylor, Chair of the Naming Committee of Entity 51.
The next phase of the naming process is for the Naming Committee to review the name submissions, and then determine which names will be included on the final voting ballot. It was pre-determined that the name Grand Bay-Westfield will automatically be included as one of the names on the final voting ballot.
Voting details will then be communicated via the Town website, Town social media accounts, mailers (flyers) sent to each residence and business within the boundaries of Entity 51 and on www.entity51.ca
