Annually, local schools in Grand Bay-Westfield plant marigolds at various locations throughout the community, including:
– Across the street from the Town Office/Community Centrum (609 River Valley Drive)
– Grand Bay Guardian (114 River Valley Drive)
– Westfield School (147 Nerepis Road)
About The Marigolds Project
The Marigolds Project began in 1997 as Marigolds on Main Street. Originally, students from four (4) local schools, gathered each June to plant marigolds along Main Street in Saint John.
Marigolds on Main Street has grown into The Marigolds Project and continues to evolve each year.
The Marigold Project has served as a model for similar planting programs nationally and around the world.
