Signage installed for streets accessible to off-road vehicles

Published: April 11, 2024 @ 3:00 p.m.

At the Council meeting on December 11, 2023, Town Council approved By-law PR-001: Respecting roads accessible to off-road vehicles.

This By-law directly aligns with the Town’s strategic priority of community vitality, by increasing economic activity in our community. The By-law allows riders to access goods and services, specifically food and fuel services.

Numerous municipalities have passed By-laws to allow for registered off-road vehicle movement on designated municipal streets. All the By-laws passed restrict access to very specific municipal streets, and require riders to be registered, insured, and follow all laws related to safety.

Signage has been installed near designated Grand Bay-Westfield municipal streets accessible to off-road vehicles.

Visit HERE to view a map.

The By-law will be monitored for a minimum of eighteen months, to allow for proper analysis and feedback on the effectiveness for both the Town and QuadNB club members.
