Public Hearing of Objections: To Amend Zoning By-law

Pursuant to section 111 of the Community Planning Act, S.N.B. 2017, C19, public notice is hereby given:

That the Council for the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield intends to consider a Public Hearing with respect to proposed Draft By-law Amendments to the Zoning By-law No. PD-009, for the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield.

The subject matter being considered under Draft By-law No. PD-009A – Amendments to the Zoning By-law:

To promote increased density, two milestones (mid-rise apartment policy and density incentives) have been incorporated into the Zoning By-law. Such as increasing the permitted building heights, flexible extension of zones, reducing street frontage requirements, increasing the buildable area of lots (introducing “flankage” side yard setbacks and flag lots). As well as extending mobile, mini and tiny homes as permitted uses.

A person wishing to speak for or against the By-law or written objections received, may be heard at the Council meeting to be held at 7:00 p.m. on October 15, 2024, in the Grand Bay Room of the Community Centrum, 609 River Valley Drive.
