Public Hearing of Objections: To amend Municipal Plan By-law #121, to amend Zoning By-law #122

Pursuant to section 111 of the Community Planning Act, S.N.B. 2017, C19, public notice is hereby given:

That the Council for the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield intends to consider a Public Hearing with respect to an amendment to the Municipal Plan By-law #121 and Zoning By-law #122 for the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield.

The subject matter being considered under Municipal Plan By-law No. 121 regarding Infrastructure Charges on Colonel Nase Boulevard as follows:

  • Removal of Policy IS-1

The subject matter being considered under Zoning By-law No. 122:

  • Remove sentence reference in Section 9.2.4 “Development in the MU zone may require a $425.21/m development Charge which will apply to development accessing Col. Nase Blvd.”
  • Per RU-1 for seasonal Dwelling provisions where no services are available, currently permitted in Rural Resource (RU) Zone clarify that Development Permit approval only for A Single Seasonal Dwelling up to 625 sq ft per Property (noting Department of Health and Department of Environment approvals or exemptions for Well and septic would be required for Development Permit- Definition of Seasonal Dwelling

Any person may inspect the proposed By-laws on-line at the Town’s website www.grandbaywestfield.ca or at the Town Office at 609 River Valley Drive during regular office hours 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

A person wishing to speak for or against the By-laws or written objections received, may be heard at the meeting to be held at 7:00 p.m. on April 11, 2022, in the Grand Bay Room, 609 River Valley Drive.
