Heavy rain is expected.
Locations: Central and southern parts New Brunswick.
Total rainfall: 40 to 70 mm, except locally 100 mm or more in areas of heaviest rain.
Time span: later this evening until Thursday afternoon.
Similar storms in the past have caused: – the overflowing of creeks and rivers – flooding of basements, especially in poor drainage areas – road shoulder erosion and washouts High Rainfall rates of 20 to 40 mm per hour may occur over some locations, leading to variable rainfall accumulations over short distances. Conditions may change rapidly, with heavy, torrential downpours.
