Pavement markings adjusted on Inglewood Drive

Published: September 1, 2022 @ 3:30 p.m.

The Town of Grand Bay-Westfield remains committed to its strategic priorities of Infrastructure Sustainability and Community Vitality.

The annual pavement marking program was recently completed in Grand Bay-Westfield. As part of this program, pavement markings on Inglewood Drive have been adjusted. This allows for pedestrians to face the traffic in both directions, and also serves as a traffic calming measure for motorists by narrowing the driving lanes.

The Town reminds motorists and cyclists of the following symbols:

Share the Road symbols

On Inglewood Drive, vehicles and cyclists share the main lanes. The lanes on the outside edges are for pedestrian use.

On Woolastook Drive, vehicles and cyclists share the main lanes. The sidewalk is available for pedestrian use.

Bike lane symbols

On Colonel Nase Boulevard, vehicles use the main lanes while cyclists use the designated bike lanes. The sidewalk is available for pedestrian use.
