1.CALL TO ORDER
The Town of Grand Bay-Westfield Planning Advisory Committee met for a regular meeting on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at 8:00 p.m. with Vice-Chair, Chyann Kirby presiding.
2.RECORD OF ATTENDANCE
Members absent were: Ralph Stevens, Ron Daigle and Cllr. Bev Day.

7. APPLICATION FOR VARIANCE (FRONT YARD SETBACK)
RE: SERGEY GORBACHEV – 211 NEREPIS ROAD
(A) DEVELOPMENT OFFICER’S REPORT DATED JULY 15, 2016
Applicant, Sergey Gorbachev, was present and addressed the Committee as follows:
This Application for Variance is for an addition to the front of his house to be used as a small front entrance room and exterior porch;
a. originally there was a porch on the front of the home which has been removed as it was unsafe;
b. the new entryway will be used for removal of coats and shoes.
There was no one present speaking in favor of or against this Application.
“… moved by Jim Burke that the Planning Advisory Committee APPROVE the request for a Variance to the Town’s Zoning By-law, Town of Grand Bay-Westfield By-law No. 112, for the construction of an addition to the front entrance to a single family home, located at 211 Nerepis Road, PID No. 30182828:
a) under Section 8.2.1.3(d) grant a Variance of 2.75 m to reduce the required Front Yard Setback from 7.5 m to 4.75 m….”
Seconded by Theresa Gordon. Motion carried.
