At its meeting on November 14, 2023, Town of Grand Bay-Westfield Council approved the following motions regarding the 2024 Town Budget:
General Operating Budget 2024
That the Council of the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield approves the following:
• The sum of $8,462,962 be the total operating budget of the local government of Grand Bay-Westfield for the 2024 fiscal year.
• The sum of $7,546,629 be the Warrant to the local government for the 2024 fiscal year.
• The tax rate for Ward 1 will be $1.31 for the 2024 fiscal year.
• The tax rate for Ward 2 will be $0.6759 for the 2024 fiscal year.
• The levying by the Minister of Local Government and Local Governance Reform of said amount on real property liable to taxation under the Assessment Act within the local government of Grand Bay–Westfield.
Sewerage Utility Budget 2024
That the Council of the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield adopt the 2024 Sewerage Utility Budget, reflecting total revenue of $709,659 and total expenditures of $709,659. With the sewerage user rate of $370 per unit, effective January 1, 2024.
Capital Budget 2024
That the Council of the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield move that the 2024 Capital Budget, in the amount of $1,810,000, be adopted as presented.

The Budget supports Council’s Strategic Priorities of: Smart Growth, Organizational Capacity, Infrastructure and Climate Adaptation, and Community Vitality.
