The Grand Bay-Westfield and Welsford Fire Departments will be conducting ice rescue training this weekend.
Date: Sunday, February 26, 2023
Time: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Location: Public Landing Wharf – Near 9026 Route 102, Public Landing, NB
During this time, residents and motorists may witness emergency simulations involving emergency responders in the icy water. Emergency responders will be wearing dry suits and headwear, while utilizing specialized equipment such as floating stretchers, rescue rings, and throw bags which contain rope and reach poles.
