Kick-off to Canada Day with fireworks in Grand Bay-Westfield

Time: 10:00 p.m.

Location: Fireworks will be launched from Westfield Wharf located adjacent to the Westfield Ferry Landing and Brundage Point River Centre

The Brundage Point River Centre located at 4 Ferry Road, Grand Bay-Westfield, is a designated viewing area for the fireworks display.

Please Note: Parking as well as the boat launch at the Brundage Point River Centre will not be available beginning at 9:00 p.m. on June 30, until the fireworks display is complete.

The Westfield ferries will be stationed on the Kingston Peninsula side of the ferry crossing for the duration of the fireworks display.

The date and time of the fireworks display are subject to change, and weather permitting.

As loud noise is expected and to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort – the following are some important safety reminders.

Pets and animals: Fireworks can be very distressing for pets.

Please keep your animals indoors and create a safe, quiet space for them during the display. Consider playing some soothing music to help calm them.

Individuals with sensory sensitivities: Fireworks can be overwhelming for those with sensory sensitivities. If you or someone you know may be affected, consider using earplugs and watching from a distance or moving to a quieter area.

General safety tips:
• Keep a safe distance from the fireworks launch site.
• Follow all instructions from event organizers and safety personnel.
• Keep an eye on children and ensure they stay in designated viewing areas.

A pyrotechnician as well as emergency and safety personnel will be on-site for the duration of the fireworks display.
