2022 bursary information for the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield, Royal Canadian Legion – Bayview Branch 22 and the River Valley Lions Club

The Town of Grand Bay-Westfield is offering two (2) bursaries valued at $500 each. One (1) to NBCC (Saint John Campus) and one (1) to UNB Saint John.

If the desired degree program is not available at UNBSJ or the NBCC (Saint John Campus), the applicant will qualify for a bursary at another accredited institution. Applicants must reside within the Town limits of Grand Bay-Westfield.

A request for consideration must be submitted to the Town Office by Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 5:00 p.m.

The request is to be in the form of a letter including the following information:

Name and address of applicant;
Proof of residency within Grand Bay-Westfield; and
Proof of acceptance to NBCC (Saint John Campus) or UNB Saint John.

Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. (excluding holidays)
There is also a secure drop-box at the front door to the Town Office for after-hours.

The selection will be made at a public Council meeting by means of a random draw.

On behalf of the Royal Canadian Legion (RCL) – Bayview Branch 22

RCL Bayview Branch 22 is accepting applications for bursaries.

Three (3) bursaries at $750 each.

Application deadline: June 30, 2022

On behalf of the River Valley Lions Club – Lion Ralph Ervin Bursary

Two (2) bursaries at $500 each.

Applications and rules can be picked-up from and returned to the Town Office:

Application deadline: June 29, 2022

The draw will take place at the Lions Community Centre, 27 Inglewood Drive on June 30, 2022 at Lions Bingo.

Open to university or community college students.
