Town hours for Remembrance Day 2022

The Grand Bay-Westfield Town Office will be closed on Friday, November 11, 2022.

The Town Office will return to normal operating hours on Monday, November 14, 2022.

Remembrance Day Service: A Remembrance Day Service will be held at the Grand Bay-Westfield Veterans Peace Park (Cenotaph) on Friday, November 11, 2022. The Veterans Peace Park is located at the Town Cenotaph across from the Canada Post Office at the intersection of Woolastook Drive and River Valley Drive.

Attendees are asked to arrive by 10:15 a.m.

The Service will also be livestreamed on the Legion’s Facebook page via: https://www.facebook.com/grandbay.legion 

Traffic Advisory: Woolastook Drive (between River Valley Drive and Highland Road) will be closed to all traffic on November 11 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.

In addition to the Veterans banners throughout the community, the Legion will feature two (2) different Veterans annually on the light poles located at the Veterans Peace Park. The two (2) Veterans featured for the 2022 banners at the Veterans Peace Park are Kieth Sean Jacquard, CD and Allan Robertson Thompson. For complete details, visit here.

Flags at Town facilities will be lowered to half-mast from Thursday evening, November 10 until Monday morning, November 14.
