Employment Opportunity: 2023 Summer Student Labourers (Public Works Department)

The Town of Grand Bay-Westfield is currently seeking summer students as Labourers in its Public Works Department.

Summer Student Labourers duties and skills include, and not limited to:

Skills:
Ability to operate small power tools, lawn mowers (ride-on and push);
Ability to stand for long durations;
Ability to work with others;
Ability to work alone; and
Ability to work from written instructions.

Preferences:

Valid Traffic Control Person certificate; and
Valid First Aid Training and CPR training.

Requirements:

Supply own steel toe work boots

Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence

Education: Grade 12 or higher

Able to work weekends and holidays

Salary: $15.75/hour
Hours: 40 hours/week (8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.)
Dates: Must be able to begin immediately until the end of August 2023
