The Council of the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield under authority vested in it by the Municipalities Act, R.S.N.B. 1973 c.M-22 and amendments thereto enacts an Amendment to By-Law No. 80, Town of Grand Bay-Westfield Traffic By-Law.
1.The Town of Grand Bay-Westfield Traffic By-Law No. 80 is hereby amended as follows:
(1) by deleting the descriptive heading “STOP INTERSECTIONS” immediately following Section 2 and substituting therefore the descriptive heading “STOP AND YIELD INTERSECTIONS”; and
(2) by deleting Section 3 thereof and substituting therefore the following:
3. (1) The intersections listed in Schedule ‘B’ are designated as stop intersections;
(2) The intersections listed in Schedule ‘J’ are designated as yield intersections.”
2. Schedule “H”, of the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield Traffic By-law No. 80 is hereby amended by adding the following:
(2) Col. Nase Boulevard
3. Section 12, of the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield Traffic By-law No. 80 is hereby amended as follows:
by deleting the descriptive heading “SCHOOL CROSSWALKS” immediately preceding Section 12 and substituting therefore the descriptive heading “CROSSWALKS”;
by deleting the words “school crosswalks” in Subsection (1) thereof and substituting the word “Crosswalks” therefore;
by deleting the words “school crosswalk” in Subsection (2) thereof and substituting the word “Crosswalk” therefore;
4. Schedule “A” of the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield Traffic By-law No. 80 is hereby amended by adding the following appropriately within the alphabetical listing:
Col. Nase Boulevard
Maplecrest Drive
Irvin Lane
5. Schedule “B” of the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield Traffic By-law No. 80 is hereby amended as follows:
(1) by deleting the following:
(45) Florence Avenue & Boyd Drive
(2) by adding the following:
(46) Col. Nase Boulevard. & Highland Road
(47) Hillside Road & Points Road
(48) Florence Avenue & Maplecrest Drive
Florence Avenue & Boyd Drive
6. Schedule “F” of the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield Traffic By-law No. 80 is hereby amended as follows
by deleting the word “school” from the first line;
by adding the following:
“Woolastook Drive located 65 m south of Highland Road”
7. Schedule “J” of the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield Traffic By-law No. 80 is hereby amended by adding the following:
The following intersections are designated as yield intersections:
(1) Irvin Lane & Hillside Road
8. The Town of Grand Bay-Westfield Traffic By-law No. 80 is hereby amended as follows:
(1) by adding the following descriptive heading “TRUCK ROUTES”, immediately following Section 20, and;
(2) by adding the following:
21 The municipal streets and provincial highways set out in
Schedule “K” to this by-law are designated truck routes.
(3) and by renumbering the existing Section 21 as ‘22’
9. Schedule “K” of the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield Traffic By-law No. 80 is hereby amended by adding the following:
(1) Col. Nase Boulevard
(2) Route 7
(3) Route 177 –Nerepis Road/River Valley Drive
(4) Kingdom Road
(5) Ferry Road
(6) Route 102
10. Section 14, of the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield Traffic By-law No. 80 is hereby amended by adding a new Subsection (3) as follows:
(3) No person shall drive a vehicle at a speed in excess of 60 kilometres per hour on Col. Nase Boulevard between points located 50 m east of the intersection with Highland Road and 150m west of the intersection with River Valley Drive.
SCHEDULE “F”
The following crosswalk(s) shall be distinctly indicated by signage and located at:
Woolastook Drive located 65 metres more or less south of Highland Road.
SCHEDULE “J”
The following intersections are designated as yield intersections:
1) Irvin Lane & Hillside Road
SCHEDULE “K”
The following municipal streets and Provincial highways are designated as Truck Routes:
1) Col. Nase Boulevard
2) Route 7
3) Route 177 –Nerepis Road/River Valley Drive
4) Kingdom Road
5) Ferry Road
6) Route 102
This by-law comes into force on the date of final passing thereof.
